The Spirit of Neasham with Afternoon Tea
More Walks and … the Duck Derby!

But first a great review for The Desert Queen performed in ‘the rustic charms of Neasham Reading Room, nestled by the River Tees'

Earlier this month the Reading Room welcomed Hands On Theatre with their performance of ‘The Desert Queen,’ a play written by David Farn and directed by Neil Armstrong about the life of Gertrude Bell. The evening was a great success with excellent feedback from a very appreciative audience. Rob Nichols, who some of you may know as editor of Middlesbrough FC fanzine ‘Fly Me To The Moon’ came along and has published a review in NARC, a Newcastle based alternative music and culture magazine. Follow the link below to read the full review.

Wednesday 5th June 6:30pm - A Summer Stroll from Hurworth.

The recent Parish boundary walks have been well received (in spite of poorer weather earlier in the month), so much so that a further walk has been arranged. Starting from All Saints church and then onward to the river, along the river bank and on to the edge of the golf course, passing Rockliffe Hall / training ground / railway at Hurworth Place, along footpath behind the village back to church, this is a gentle 4 mile walk. Please meet outside ‘All Saints', Hurworth at 6.30pm.
Some will be having fish and chips from the chippie next to the church and if you wish to partake, please contact Lee Puchala (01325 720205) or email NeashamRR@gmail.com so he can add your order to the list for the shop.  This will hopefully ensure minimum wait for things to be cooked.

Saturday June 8th 2.00pm Afternoon Tea and first viewing of the 'Spirit of Neasham'

Come along and enjoy afternoon tea and view the 'Spirit of Neasham,' a spectacular wall hanging created and designed by Neasham Craft Group.
