We are open again …...!!
Yes… the Reading Room is up and running again!

We opened for business this Monday 27th July, with our indoor Pilates classes with Helen Dixon that were running prior to lockdown. To find out more about Helen’s classes in Neasham and in other areas visit:

In order, to make re-opening possible the trustees and caretaker have carried out a full COVID risk assessment and we have introduced a raft of new safety measures, including sanitation stations and enhanced cleaning, as well as comprehensive signage to keep our visitors and volunteers safe.

More of our regular activities will be taking place again over the coming months and all safety requirements will be issued to our hirers. Under current Government guidance, visitors will have to give contact details to the lead member of their activity / hirer.

For the present, our kitchen will remain closed and we will not be taking any bookings for children’s parties or larger events, where it is not possible to maintain social distancing.

We will keep this constantly under review as guidance changes. Obviously our pre-planned and usual events were either cancelled or couldn’t be organised because of the pandemic and we do hope to get more events up and running later in the year.

We also had to cancel our Easter Cash Draw and all tickets sold have been refunded.

Our Annual General Meeting has been rescheduled

and will now take place on Thursday 3rd September

2020 at 7.00pm...

It is open to all (socially distanced of course) so do come and join us. We are looking for new committee members to be part of our team. Interested?
